I only staring running in order to get a good grade. No joke, 7 grade me only ran the mile as fast as possible because I was a nerd and there was no way I wasn’t going to get an A+ for my first mile day. Little did I know that on that same day I would fall in love with a sport that would completely improve and change my life. Who knew that that same sport would allow me to go from living in Arizona to attend and run for a college in Florida.

I never could have predicted how greatly running impact me, but then again I hate thinking ahead. I’m the type of person who wants to always live in the now which tends to lead to major procrastination habits as evident in the fact that I haven’t told you my name yet, I’m Taryn.  I’m a quirky, bashful, kind and stubborn person. I love being creative and hope to turn my daydreams into reality by getting a degree in Advertising and Journalism. I am still very much a nerd and work hard to get as many A’s as possible. I am a runner who is often called T-Bow for my wide elbow stride and can be seen running with untied shoes all the time because I can’t tie a good knot for the life of me.

I  love everything about running Cross Country and Track because who doesn’t like completely exhausting themselves to reach their goals. Whenever the inevitable question of “Do you prefer Cross or Track?” is asked, I will always answer with Cross because honesty why would you want to run around a circle a billion times when you can run around open fields and see what nature has to offer. Yet, I’ll admit I’m a hypocrite in some sense because the track events I enjoy the most are the ones that require me running around the track a billion times. I absolutely adore the 10k and 5k on the track, but enjoy the occasional faster aspect that comes with running the 1500 and the 800 every once and a while.

Hopefully your first impression of me is that you understand that the person running this blog is a lovable oddball who enjoys college, absolutely adores running, and is interesting enough for you to want to learn more about.
